Unless your son has participated in gymnastics previously, most boys start their gymnastics in our recreational section. Here we aim to provide an introduction to the sport of gymnastics and look to develop your son’s body awareness, coordination, strength and flexibility in an enjoyable and friendly setting. During these 2 hour classes the gymnasts learn to warm up and stretch properly and are introduced to basic gymnastics skills and elementary apparatus work. Recreational gymnasts are able to participate in beginner and intermediate competitions and may attend as many or as few classes a week as they wish.

Gymnastics attire for boys is a boys gymnastics singlet and shorts, which can be ordered from our team supplier. Your son will also need a water bottle for his session.

Bronze members attend once a week, Silver members twice a week and Gold members three times a week.

Our classes for boys operate 48 weeks a year and during term time take place on the following days:

Mondays 4.00 pm  6.00 pm  & 6.30 pm  –  8.30 pm
Wednesdays 4.00 pm  6.00 pm  & 6.30 pm  –  8.30 pm
Thursdays 4.00 pm  6.00 pm
Saturdays 2.00 pm  4.00 pm

Over the Easter, summer and  October holiday periods we operate our holiday timetable where our gymnastics sessions are provided during the day, Monday to Friday, to allow our gymnasts and our coaches time off at weekends to spend with their families.

During holiday periods our classes are provided during the mornings from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and in the afternoons from 1.30 pm to 4.00 pm.

Boys who demonstrate an aptitude for gymnastics are referred to the competitive club. Entry to the competitive club is by invitation only.
